Science

The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District has dedicated resources from Measure A funding to provide a science specialist at each elementary school in the district. At Kings Beach Elementary, the science specialist is Paula Bossler, and she is in charge of providing hands on science lessons to classrooms on a rotating schedule. The science lessons are based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) which have been adopted by the state of California. The district has implemented STEMScopes curriculum which is aligned with NGSS as a means to provide interdisciplinary units taught by the science specialists and classroom teachers at each site.
