Music

The KBE music classroom is run by Kathy Muonio and is based on Orff methodology. Orff is music, movement and language. It is singing, rhythm, imagination, improvisation, dancing, fantasy, playing instruments and creating. It is an innovative approach to music based on the way children naturally communicate: through sound, using their voices to speak, chant and sing and through their bodies with music and dance. Carl Orff's work is concerned with the development of the whole child and being that we are a language school, it is a great fit for further language development and enrichment. The music program is funded by Measure A.
