Melissa Gianetto
Current Position: 2nd grade TWI teacher
Teaching History: The 2024/25 school year is my first year teaching! I'm thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade in the TWI program after spending the last 14 years serving the school district as a Bilingual Liaison, Dispatcher and Administrative Assistant for the School Transportation Department!
Teaching Passion: Witnessing the growth and development of young learners is what truly inspires me. I am passionate about the power of language and the beauty of cultural diversity. I am always excited to help create a collaborative and inclusive environment where students become confident communicators and embrace the opportunities of learning (especially in two languages)!
Outside Interests: Beyond school, I love snuggling up by the fireplace and reading a book, hiking the Tahoe Trails or spending time with my son Elijah and dog Rascal. My connection to the Tahoe Truckee community runs deep, as I grew up here too and went through TTUSD schools K-12.
Super Power: If I could have any superpower, it would be to heal people. The ability to ease suffering, mend injuries, and cure illnesses. I would snap my fingers and instantly bring comfort and restore health to those in need.
